Call for Eureast Platform’s Knowledge Centres

(12-10-2022) Eureast Platform welcomes applications for new knowledge centres

Ghent University’s Eureast Platform, one of the university’s five regional platforms, facilitates and advises on academic cooperation with academic partners in Eastern Europe and Eurasia, specifically Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Besides facilitating and advising on academic cooperation, the Eureast Platform also aims to to foster knowledge on the respective regions and countries in order to improve both the academic and societal understanding of these diverse countries and areas.

At the moment, the Eureast Platform hosts one knowledge centre, namely CERISE, focusing on Russia. The Eureast Platform wishes to establish additional knowledge centres that will reside under the framework of the Eureast Platform. Therefore, the Eureast Platform launches a call for maximum three additional knowledge centres. The aim of the centres is to advance the knowledge on a specific region or set of countries within the framework of the Eureast Platform by bringing together scholars and students interested in the field, and promoting that knowledge of the region or set of countries to the academics and the broader community.

Deadline for application: 30 November 2022.
