Learn more about the VSC Tier-1 Compute infrastructure and how to write a good proposal

Call for project access to Tier1 Compute (VSC)

Calls are open 3 times per year, to get access to the Tier1 compute resources of the Flemish Supercomputer Center

  • Current system is BrENIAC
  • Near mid 2021, the new Tier1 HPC system ‘Hortense’ would also be available (including some GPUs)

Allocations typically range

  • 500.000 - 5.000.000 corehours (CPU) and/or
  • 1.000-25.000 GPUhours
  • requests for more are possible
  • Project access duration is usually 8 months.
