Thirty-first lecture for the Digital Medieval Urban History Network by Prof. Edda B. Frankot

On Friday 18th March 2022 (16.00 CET), Prof. Edda B. Frankot (Nord University, Bodø, NO), will deliver a paper on ‘Banishment and redemption in the late medieval eastern Netherlands'.

She will be presenting material from her very new book, which is available in open access.

Edda Frankot is Associate Professor at Nord University in Bodø, Norway, interested in urban, legal, maritime and social aspects of late medieval society, with a particular focus on the Netherlands and Scotland. She is co-editor of Cultures of Law in Urban Northern Europe (2020) and author of Banishment in the Late Medieval Eastern Netherlands. Exile and Redemption in Kampen (2022).

This lecture will be the 31st event of the Digital Medieval Urban History Network, directed by the Henri Pirenne Institute at Ghent University and the Department of History at Queen Mary University London.
