Van Eyck-team nominated for EOS Audience Award 2021 for Science Communication
(29-10-2021) Van Eyck research and outreach wins Royal Belgian Academy Award & is nominated for EOS Audience Award.
The Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium (KVAB) and the Young Academy have awarded the Van Eyck-team at Ghent University (Prof. Maximiliaan Martens, Prof. Jan Dumolyn & Prof. Danny Praet) with an Academy Prize for Science Communication 2021. These annual prizes are awarded to researchers and/or teams who have shown exceptional commitment over the last two years in communicating towards the general public. The Van Eyck-team was granted the award for the international exhibition Van Eyck - An Optical Revolution (Ghent, Museum of Fine Art, winner of the Apollo Award for Exhibition of the Year 2O2O) and the (ongoing) restauration campaign of the Ghent Altarpiece. Twelve researchers or teams will receive such a communication award on the 24th November 2021 at the Academy in Brussels. At that ceremony the winner of the EOS Audience Award will also be announced from among the twelve laureates. So don't forget to vote for our Ghent University nominees!
