Herbert Roeyers
Herbert Roeyers is Professor of clinical psychology and head of the Research in Developmental Disorders Lab (RIDDL) in the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Ghent University, Belgium. He is member of the executive board of the Center for Developmental Disorders at Ghent University Hospital. He studies autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD and atypical development in preterm born children. His main research interests are the investigation of developmental trajectories and biomarkers in children (at elevated likelihood) for ASD and the psychological theory building of ADHD as well as the clinical application of this work via screening, diagnosis and early intervention. He was co-chair of the ESF COST-ESSEA action on early autism and he is Belgian PI and work package leader of the H2020 Marie-Curie Innovative Training Networks BRAINVIEW and SAPIENS. He is also PI of Ghent University in the EUROSIBS consortium and in the H2020 IMI project Aims-2-Trials. He was the main supervisor of 29 completed doctoral dissertations. He is (co)author of more than 230 international peer reviewed publications. His current h-index (Web of Science) is 55.
