Biography

Sigrid Van Trappen is a PhD candidate at the Department of Political Sciences of Ghent University. She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and Management (2017, Ghent University). Her main research interests comprise the political representation of social groups, voting behavior and candidate selection. Her PhD research project (2018-2022) focuses on candidate selection processes in Flemish local parties.
