Emin Daskin
Emin is a PhD student at the Department of Political Science - Doctoral School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Ghent University and is a research affiliate at the Ghent Institute for International Studies. He is holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, a Master’s degree in Business Economics and an Advanced Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy.
His area of interest is political violence, with a specific focus in his PhD on the Kurdish issue in Turkey and its communicative aspects, propaganda, relative deprivation, mobilization and revolutionary violence. Additionally, he has grown interest and expertise in the areas of economic security, CI, and non-technical aspects of cyber security.
Besides his PhD research, he currently has one paper in progress in co-authorship with his supervisor and occasionally reviews articles for peer-reviewed journals.
