RED NOSE: LONELINESS
Description
This project (2021-2023) examines the social wellbeing of newly-arrived minors in schools offering reception programs. The focus is on experiences of loneliness and the potential buffering role of schools. The project is funded by FWO and is carried out in the context of “Red Noses” in collaboration with Prof. Benedicte Deforche (PI, Department of Public Health and Primary Care) and Prof. Ilse Derluyn (Department of Social Work and Social Pedagogy). Prof. Piet-Bracke acts as co-supervisor of the project.
